Roses out of newspaper?

Ello everyone! Hmmm...why do I always say that...Anyways, welcome to another tutorial with me! Yeeahhh. I hope you guys have been enjoying my tutorials so far, because once I get back to school, I can't make as many as I did before. :( I'll try my best though to continue to post! Okay okay, back to the topic. Do you have a stack of scrap paper at hope you're desperate to get rid of? Well, today's tutorial will solve your problem! (Oh my goodness...I sound like an ad) I hope you guys are willing to continue with me and read on. :)

Oh course, I can't take credit for everything. Here's the video I learned this from:
(I don't mean to be rude to the creator, but the tutorial was difficult to understand, and it took forever for me to learn. Hopefully I can add to it to help make it easier for you guys.)

Supplies:
Magazine/ newspaper
Scissors
Glue stick
Ruler

Let's begin shall we?

Step 1: We will first start with a strip of newspaper. The width should be 1.5 centimeters.

Step 2: Now, make the height 28 centimeters. Once, you're done, cut out your strip carefully.

Step 3: Okay. Fold your paper like a triangle on one of the edges.

Step 4: Roll it up until the triangle can be seen anymore.

Step 5: Repeat the same steps. I had a problem in doing this step, so I'll give a quick tip. Once you roll it up, use the part of the strip that's not folded and fold it up until it aligns with the triangle.

See, like this?

Keep on going! You can do this! It should look like this when you're partly done.

Look! You're almost done! Continue on!

Step 6: Okay, I wasn't talking to myself. Anyways, while you roll your rose up, you can glue along the way, or you can try a different technique. What I did was unroll it, and then glue it back together. Do what's easier for you.

Yeaahh! Finally, here's the finished product! It'd not that good, but I tried guys. That's the least I could do.

This looks practically the same picture, but I tried to take it in a different view. Now that I look at even more, I feel like this is a complete disaster. XD

And here is the first one I did. It failed completely.... I didn't want to show it, but why not? Everyone makes mistakes. (I can just hear a trumpet making those sounds when you failed. :P)

Okay, that was it. Pretty fast tutorial, but more difficult than you think Don't worry, if you keep on practicing, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Or, just give up and throw your mistake in rage like I did. Anyways, have you guys seen my new template? Oh my goodness, I love it so much! I had a different one before this, but I didn't like the ads, and it would only work for 15 days. Sucks, right? Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you for all of those who read! Mwah!

Scrumptious Brownies

Ello everyone! Of course, every day I like to try something different, but this time, it's even weirder than usual....COOKING!!! *gasps* Anyways, I hesitated whether or not I should post this, but you what? Cooking is an art, so I guess it should fit into this category. Plus, I'm too lazy to make something today. :P So...what to begin... I've never done a recipe before. Oh well. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. Trust me, it's so delicious and simple. :)

Here is the product:

Ta DA! I am practically drooling right now. Oh my goodness, it looks so good. (and tastes good too) Ugghhh...I feel guilty for eating this while I type. :P

Ingredients:

150 g butter

I used nucoa margarine buttery sticks, which cost $1.49 and come in about 150 g per stick.

275 caster sugar

For sugar, I used SB Sugar Powdered, and I only needed to use half the box. Cost: $1.49.

75 g cocoa powder

For cocoa powder, I used Nestle Hot Cocoa. I know it's weird, but that was nothing left. (Three bags were used) Cost: $00.99

85 g plain flour

For flour, I used SB All Purpose Flour, and I used about a quarter of it. Cost: 1.89. (Did you notice it was pre-sifted? I was too lazy to sift it :P)

Cupcake holders

For this, I used Reynolds Bake Cups. They are covered in aluminum to keep in the heat and they are perfect for cupcakes and brownies. Cost: $1.49

Icing sugar (optional) [I didn't use this, so I didn't have any pictures)
3 eggs [I was too lazy to add pictures of eggs :P They should be pretty simple to get though]

Okay, finally...those are the ingredients. If you can't tell already, I got these all at Stater Brothers for really cheap deals, and if you don't have one close by, just go to your local supermarket.

Fine fine. Let's begin, shall we?

Recipe

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (Fun fact: I still have problems spelling that word) or 160 degrees Celsius.

Step 2: Pour in the hot coca powder, butter, and sugar in a huge bowl. Then mix until the butter melts and texture becomes thick and creamy.

Step 3: Sift the flour if it hasn't been sifted yet. Then, pour it into the bowl. (Don't do anything yet) After that, crack your three eggs and pour it into the bowl too. (with the yolk) Finally, continue to mix until the mixture has gotten darker and creamier. (I recommend you mix very fast and in one direction)

Step 4: Now, pour your mix into your cute cupcake holders. (They should make about 10 brownies) After that, put it into the oven and wait 30 minutes.

Yeeahhh! Once you're done cooking, you'll smell delicious...scrumptious brownies in your oven. Make sure to wait for them to cool down!

And....here's totoro trying to steal a brownie. That little rascal.

Simple huh? That was probably one of the easiest things I've ever done. Of course, I didn't make up this recipe. I got it from the Student Recipes website, so check it out! They have more simple and delicious recipes waiting for you! Don't worry, I didn't copy everything from them. I put them into my own words, added a bit more info, and changed the recipe up a bit. Anyways, thank you guys do much for reading. I hope you're eating one of the brownies now and enjoying the recipe. :) Love you all! Mwah!

3-D Creeper

Ello ello everyone! I'm back and ready for another DIY. Today, my brother just kept begging me to make something from the ever popular game, Mine craft, so here I am following a kid's orders. What can I say? A sister's got to do what a sister's got to do. Anyways, I was just thinking of creating another boring drawing tutorial, but then I thought...."Why not make it 3-D?" So...I've decided...why not? Let's make this one of the best tutorials I've ever done! (just kidding) Also, if you want, this would be a great arts & crafts that you can share with a guy that likes minecraft...maybe share it? Hmmm? Don't worry, I'm not forcing you.

Okay okay. Let's get started.

Supplies:
Scissors
Green construction paper
Writing utensil
Tape

Let's begin, shall we?

Step 1: First, just draw three identical squares on top of one another. Then, on the bottom square, draw one identical square on both of it's sides.

Step 2: Draw four rectangles that are identical. (Well, try to make them the same size. Use a ruler if you have to) This will be the creeper's body.

Step 3: Draw a rectangle under the last rectangle from step 2. Then, in the second rectangle (step 2), draw four smaller rectangles right below it. (congruent of course) Then, under the four small rectangles, draw two tiny rectangles below it. (If this gets confusing, just look at the picture above.)

Step 4: This step is veerryy simple. Just draw in the face and color it in.

Step 5: Cut out your creeper.

Step 6: You see the dark purple lines I circled? ONLY cut on those lines. If you cut on any other line, it'll ruin it all! Just kidding, you can just tape it back. :)

Step 7: Once you cut on those lines, tape your creeper all together.

Once you're done, it should look like this! Yeeaahhh! We're finally done. Just to tell you guys, I based my creeper on my brother's toy creeper, so don't judge me if it doesn't look like the actual mine craft creeper. If you want, go online and look for an actual picture to copy from. It may make your creation more realistic. Or don't. Your choice. :P

Here is the finished product!!! It was really hard for it to stand, so I made it lie down. I can't believe I thought of this at last minute. Hmmm..what else....oh yeah. My creeper only has two legs because I couldn't fit the other other two legs. If you can find a way to make four legs for the creeper, comment down below!

Here is the top view of the picture.

And....side view. See the tape? You don't really need a lot.

Okay, that's pretty much it. How was it? I almost didn't post today, but you know...I felt really bad if I didn't. I hope you guys enjoyed this post today. It's not girly and cute like I usually do...but having a variety of things is good at times. :D Comment below if you have any art/ drawings you'd like to share, and I'd love to see it! Maybe also recommend something below while you're at it. Thank you all so much for reading. I love you guys so much. If I could, I would hug each and one of you guys right now. Love you all! Mwah!

Felt Wool Bird

Ello everyone! How are you guys!? You know what? I just got the feels today. The inspiration...the love...and all that stuff. That's what made me get out of my comfy bed and create a new blog post ;) Anyways, as I got up, I was deciding to draw something else, but then I thought....why not try something new? So, at last minute, I created something so epic it will blow your minds. (not really) Are you ready guys? Are you? Of course you are! Let's do this! *fist bumps*

Okay, you guys know what to start with. Supplies! They won't cost much, trust me.

Supplies:
Felt wool (of course)
Long needle/ pin
Spongy surface
Construction paper (White and orange)
Marker/pen (black preferred)
Scissors
Glue

Let's begin shall we?

Step 1: Start by rolling up the felt wool of your choice. Then, try to shape your bird by poking it with a needle.

Step 2: One your done, it should look like this. After that, leave some flaps to the sides to make the wings If you don't have any left, then use your scissors to cut some more wool for the wings.

Step 3: Now, keep on stabbing the wings with your needle until it stiffens. Be careful not to poke yourself! (If you're really scared of bleeding, just use a pin. It/ll really help. :))

Step 4: Okay, now attach your flaps together by stabbing the top edge of your wings into the bird.

Okay, I don't know why I'm adding this, but this is my failure attempt of making eyes. I tried to use glue, wait for them to dry, and then draw in the pupils....BUT....it took too long so I decided to give up. :(

Step 5: Cut out four circles

Step 6: Roll tape on two of them. On the other two, draw in the pupils. (They look like googly eyes. XD)

Step 7: ANDD....Attach! Pretty simple, I believe.

Step 8: Know, cut out your beak. (If you don't know how, you just fold your paper, and cut a triangle out of it. Don't cut at the fold!) Then, glue on the beak.

Step 9: Mwa haha. You thought you were done? Well, actually you are. BUT, if you want to, cut out an oval from another piece of wool, and stab it into the bird until it's in place. Then, you gave the bird a nice warm belly. :D

Yeah yeah yeah. It's so cute, right? I took about an hour and a half to do. :| Don't worry though! It's just that I kept messing up, and I had to take pictures. If you were to do it normally, it should only take half an hour (max). I think I'll name it Jim. Hehe.

Awwwww!!! Look at him! If you want, you can shape your wool into eggs for Jim...I mean your bird. Now, I'm going to throw Jim out of the window! Bye guys! (just kidding. just kidding. But the eyes did fall out a lot of times, so I had to fix it a lot. :/)

Okay, how was it guys? I hope it was enjoyable for all your creative minds! Be careful to not make a huge mess! Hmmmm...what else...If you guys want, you can put your own bird into a little box, and add a nest with eggs for him/her cause...why not? Hopefully, this little DIY was enough. (I think I said that) Anyways, I'll stop rambling. Thanks a lot guys! I love you all for reading! Mwah!

Tissue Paper Flowers

Hello hello everyone! How's it been? I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, but...at least I'm here now. :D I've been getting so many headaches this past week, but I will continue to work hard and continue to post! So, today's tutorial will be super duper easy, and I know that so many people know how to make this, but I really wanted to show a quick little trick my friend showed my that really adds pzazz to the flower. Plus, maybe if you don't know, well...get ready to learn! He. he. he. Ugh...I'm just rambling on and on. Okay, okay, I will begin. Just one more thing... You. Yes you. The one reading this. You're gorgeous gurl...or boy. :)

Supplies:
8 pieces of tissue paper
scissors
string (about five inches)
creativity :)

Let's begin, shall we?

Step 1: Line up all of your pieces of paper. To make it look more realistic, you can use different colors of tissue paper. (I used four white and four pink) One more thing: If your papers aren't the same size, don't worry about that yet! Make sure it's approximately the same size!

Step 2: Okay, now just fold your paper like a fan. The folds should be about 1/2 - 1 inch.

Step 3: Don't cute your ends straight! Got it? Calm down and listen...well, read. Cut your ends in an angled position so it looks more like a boat. (If you don't get it, just look at the picture) Oh, make sure you hold on tightly when you cut, or it'll fall out. Trust me, it happened to me.

Step 4: Fold what you have in half. Then, open it. You see that crease? That where you tie the string. Just a couple of regular knots. Simple enough?

Step 5: Now, let your flower lay flat. (Where the ridges are). Then, gently pull at any end until you reach the middle.

Step 6: Repeat step 5 on the other side.

Step 7: Now, continue to do the same thing. Pull a flap on one side, then the other. And continue to repeat until you reach the end.

See what it looks like with all the white pulled up? Not, bad, right? Just kidding..I was in a rush. I didn't get to do it properly.

Yeah I'm done! Took about ten to fifteen minutes to finish pulling everything...I think. Just go as slow as you need because if you go too fast, you'll end up getting rips..and gurl...that ain't purtty. (I ended up ripping a lot of the petals. :( I'm sorry my poor flower!)

That was simple right? Yeah? Yeah? Okay, I'll stop annoying you guys. And...I couldn't help but use Totoro as my model. I'm sorry! It's just too cute! >.<

Totoro: OOHHHHH! Flowers. *mischievous smile*
Me: Don't you dare. -.-

Okay, wasn't that simple? Oh my goodness, I think I've repeated that so many times. ;P Oh well. Simple is the best right? I hope that my quick little tip (Step 3) made it look a bit better. :) Thank you to all that have read, and I hope that you guys all enjoyed this post! I know it's a bit different, but I thought maybe different might be better? Okay okay. I know you want to leave. Okay, bye everyone! I'm ready to go to Micheal's and buy more supplies for DIY! Love you all! Mwah!

-and-
"hocus pocus- squiggly wiggly" (If you know where this is from, I love you even more. ;))
