Time for more art guys! Today, I'll show you how to draw a realistic human eye.
Supplies: #2 Pencil (DIXON recommended)
Paper
Eraser (Optional)
Okay, Let's begin!
First of all, you need to know to create hashing strokes. Trust me, it's simple. All you need to do is slightly tilt your pencil to its side and make a quick, effortless line on the paper. The line should be very thin and gradually change from dark to light. If you felt you didn't use much control with your pencil,
you probably did it right.
Now, to shade like this, tilt your pencil until the whole piece of lead lies on the paper. Begin by pressing down hard and gradually put less pressure on it.
Step 1: Create the outline of the eye. (Make sure the pupil is NOT in the middle)
Step 2: Draw the pupil and color it in.
Step 3: Darken in the top eye lid and the pupil.
Step 4: Use hashing strokes to fill in the pupil. Make sure to not completely fill in the iris and leave space around the pupil.
Step 5: Draw in the top lid.
Step 6: Begin on one edge of the eyelid and shade inwards. Repeat on the other side. Make sure to not shade the middle and if you need to, rub (with fingers) what you've shaded to soften it.
Step 7: Flip the paper upside down. Then, begin shading in sections, starting from the lid. To shade, copy the same technique I showed above (second image).
Step 8: To create the eyebrow, use small hashing strokes and layer one by one. Make sure the strokes go in different directions. Then, shade the bottom edge of the whole eyebrow (using the same technique).
Step 9: Lightly shade the inner corners of the eye.
Thanks so much for reading! Love you all!
