Cute Baby Elephant

Hello hello everyone! As I was searching on Pinterest, I saw this cute picture on Etsy that cost $14.30. Then I thought, "Gurl. Ain't nobody gonna pay for that." So, if you're lazy and cheap like me, let's begin today's art lesson shall we?

Supplies:

#2 pencil (DIXON recommended)

eraser

paper

color pencils

(I just realized I forgot to post the supplies on yesterday's post. Oops.)

Step 1: Draw the outline of the elephant.

Step 2: For the ear, draw the same curve on the inside, except smaller. Make sure to leave about a two millimeter space between the two ear curves!

Step 3: Draw in the arm and the eye. The arm should look like a half oval with a space on the top edge, while the eye looks a bit like a triangle. 

Step 4: Draw in two wrinkles a few centimeters above the eye.

Step 5: Draw in the the string of the balloon in between the curl of the trunk. Then to draw in the balloon, draw a triangle and a half circle on top of it. (Make sure they connect!) Once you're done, shade inside the ear pink.

Step 6: To draw the head, draw an arc from the top edge of the smaller ear curve to the neck. Then, color the elephant grey (or any color you prefer) with your color pencils.

Step 7: This may look the same as the other picture, but trust me, it's not. Outline the string of the balloon orange and color and mouth pink. 

Step 8: Color the balloon any color you like, and you're done!

Step 9 (Optional): Add anything else you like. Maybe a message, bow, etc...
