Ello everyone! Hmmm...why do I always say that...Anyways, welcome to another tutorial with me! Yeeahhh. I hope you guys have been enjoying my tutorials so far, because once I get back to school, I can't make as many as I did before. :( I'll try my best though to continue to post! Okay okay, back to the topic. Do you have a stack of scrap paper at hope you're desperate to get rid of? Well, today's tutorial will solve your problem! (Oh my goodness...I sound like an ad) I hope you guys are willing to continue with me and read on. :)
Oh course, I can't take credit for everything. Here's the video I learned this from:
(I don't mean to be rude to the creator, but the tutorial was difficult to understand, and it took forever for me to learn. Hopefully I can add to it to help make it easier for you guys.)
Supplies:
Magazine/ newspaper
Scissors
Glue stick
Ruler
Let's begin shall we?
Step 1: We will first start with a strip of newspaper. The width should be 1.5 centimeters.
Step 2: Now, make the height 28 centimeters. Once, you're done, cut out your strip carefully.
Step 3: Okay. Fold your paper like a triangle on one of the edges.
Step 4: Roll it up until the triangle can be seen anymore.
Step 5: Repeat the same steps. I had a problem in doing this step, so I'll give a quick tip. Once you roll it up, use the part of the strip that's not folded and fold it up until it aligns with the triangle.
See, like this?
Keep on going! You can do this! It should look like this when you're partly done.
Look! You're almost done! Continue on!
Step 6: Okay, I wasn't talking to myself. Anyways, while you roll your rose up, you can glue along the way, or you can try a different technique. What I did was unroll it, and then glue it back together. Do what's easier for you.
Yeaahh! Finally, here's the finished product! It'd not that good, but I tried guys. That's the least I could do.
This looks practically the same picture, but I tried to take it in a different view. Now that I look at even more, I feel like this is a complete disaster. XD
And here is the first one I did. It failed completely.... I didn't want to show it, but why not? Everyone makes mistakes. (I can just hear a trumpet making those sounds when you failed. :P)
Okay, that was it. Pretty fast tutorial, but more difficult than you think Don't worry, if you keep on practicing, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Or, just give up and throw your mistake in rage like I did. Anyways, have you guys seen my new template? Oh my goodness, I love it so much! I had a different one before this, but I didn't like the ads, and it would only work for 15 days. Sucks, right? Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you for all of those who read! Mwah!
what if you colored them with glitter spray paint? :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Why don't you try it out and send me a picture? I'd love to see the results!
